When it comes to research at Otsuka—creating new products for better health worldwide—is at the center of everything they do. That’s why they are dedicated to finding unconventional solutions for complex, underserved medical needs, whether developing new compounds at one of their research facilities in the United States, Europe, Japan, and beyond; or collaborating with another company to develop innovative therapies.

In July 2021, Otsuka selected OneVenue to deliver a four-week virtual training session to 600 employees. This was a dual-track, multi-day event held Monday-Friday. Otsuka used OneVenue’s schedule engine to automatically divide participants into groups, each with a custom agenda filled with engaging activities.

Otsuka implemented a variety of OneVenue features to engage employees and encourage participation. As a result, employees attended general sessions, live senior leadership addresses, over 20 simultaneous role-play or breakout rotations, and eight individual certification sessions.

Upon concluding the event, Otsuka reported great overall engagement between trainers and trainees. In addition, OneVenue was easy to navigate and had a professional look and feel! Otsuka was so pleased with the event that they chose OneVenue to support a series of online conferences which deployed advanced production services, enabling RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) streaming to execute a combination of livestream and recorded sessions.

A dedicated team of Customer Success Managers owned the event from planning to execution to ensure its success. In less than two months, the Customer Success Team established a delivery plan, trained presenters to use OneVenue, onboarded attendees, and maintained an ever-changing agenda. In addition, two Customer Success Managers attended the events onsite to provide additional support. This allowed Otsuka to make agenda changes quickly while seamlessly integrating streaming with the production team.

Ultimately, Otsuka used OneVenue to engage over 700 attendees and generated over 850 Teams links across two conferences.
